After more than four months of uncertainty, we’re pleased to share some great news: Anthem Blue Cross and Scripps Health have finalized a new contract. This long-awaited agreement brings relief to countless individuals and employer groups across San Diego who have been affected by the ongoing negotiations.

The Key Update: Retroactive Coverage to January 1, 2025
The agreement is retroactive, meaning any services received from Scripps since January 1, 2025 will now be treated as in-network. If you postponed care or paid out-of-pocket during the coverage gap, Anthem will reprocess those claims to reflect in-network benefits.

Scripps is a leading healthcare provider in San Diego, and continued access to its physicians, hospitals, and specialists is essential for many of our clients.
