Accessibility Statement

CBIS (Client Benefit Insurance Services) wants every visitor to be able to use cbisusa.com, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, captions, screen magnification or other assistive technology.

CBIS’s goal

CBIS works toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). CBIS reviews the site regularly with automated testing tools and hands-on keyboard checks, and works to fix issues as they are found.

Accessibility features

CBIS builds the site with these features. They may not be present on every page.

  • Text alternatives for images
  • Labeled form fields, with error messages tied to the field they describe
  • A “skip to content” link and a visible keyboard focus outline
  • Color contrast checked for text and controls
  • Pause controls for moving content where it appears, and support for reduced-motion settings
  • Spanish-language pages, with Spanish text marked up for screen readers

Known limitations

Some content comes from other companies, such as embedded maps, online application portals, calendar booking pages and insurance company websites. That content may not meet the same standard. If you have trouble with this content, CBIS will work with you to complete the task another way.
